Projects
to Help Others
While working as a lecturer at Doncaster College, I produced a
couple of videos to show my students examples of functional skills exams. These
were saved to a memory stick and then taken into work and I’d run the video as
I talked through what was going on, or I might have students load up the same
sample exam and have them run through it with the demonstration. This gave me
the idea to upload some of these videos onto YouTube. The quality of the sound in particular isn’t great, but I did find time to get a
couple of videos uploaded. They are quite long as they each go through an
entire exam, but they aren’t monetised, so you shouldn’t see any adverts when
playing through them. It is something I’d like to expand on in the future, but
it does take a considerable amount of time just to produce a single video, I
think I worked it out to be around eight hours work.
Despite the low quality of the videos, they have racked up around
ninety thousand views and I have almost two hundred and fifty subscribers.
Anyway, if you would like to take a look
at these videos, please feel free to follow the link to my page here.
